Connection Checklist

This checklist is a guide for customers wishing to connect to Coral Coast Water Pty Ltd’s non-potable water supply for commercial or stock and garden purposes.

Read through the information for customers
Fill out and lodge a Coral Coast Water application form.
Application considered by the Coral Coast Water Board of Directors subject to connection fees
Provision of a quote if your connection is non-standard
Sign and return the quote acceptance page to the GWC office.
After application approval, a Supply Contract document is issued.
Read through your customer contract, sign and return to the GWC office.
Arrange for a licenced Plumber to install a tank and backflow prevention devices signed off by a qualified plumber and certification submitted to the GWC office. See minimum Standard for Connection Requirements below.
Arrange for full payment of the Invoice for the connection fee.

GWC will install your new service connection within 10 working days from completion of:

Payment for the connection; and
Certified tank installed by Licenced Plumber; and
Completion and return of signed Supply Contract.

Standard Connection Requirements

The applicant is responsible for:

All private works – water supply pipework and fittings on the applicant’s side of the meter;
Installing a water storage tank having a minimum capacity of five thousand (5,000) litres;
Installing a float and shut-off valve or other suitable flow control mechanism to avoid overflow from the applicant’s tank;
Installing a registered air gap in accordance with Australian and New Zealand Plumbing Standard “AS/NZ2S 3500-2003 Plumbing and Drainage” between the supply outlet and the maximum level of the applicant’s tank.
Providing GWC with a copy of the certification that items 2 – 4 have been installed by a Licenced Plumber.
